The Creation..
GOTHIC was created to house characters, guilds, and clans of dark or evil alignment. Although that didn't hinder the flow of members entering the forum, it did limit the amount of interactions between dark & light characters, and that made things a little dull. After realizing this we started accepting all types of characters and saw an increase in battles and storylines. Not only were we having a mixture of characters, but guilds were also joining the scene. We had tons of dark aligned guilds in our suite and as you'd scroll down the list you could see the ever so brave light guilds sticking out like a sore thumb. It was a little fun to see this kind of co-existence among characters and we'd like to see this happen again with the forums reopening.

Now with a brand new look, we have every bit of confidence that GOTHIC will attract more people. Things can only improve from where they stand when it comes to web design. Hopefully you will all find navigation more easier to define and if you've got any suggestions please forward them to us. Now enough with the web business, let's talk about the forum again.

Some of you may be interested to know that we as a forum grew very rapidly and sheltered nearly 200 guilds with an estimation of 10-15 thousand members. You might think that's hard to believe right? Well it happened and will happen once more. As each year goes by and GOTHIC evolves into a better forum and we really hope that everyone will benefit from being a member. We have definitely gained a lot of knowledge and roleplaying experience throughout the years and hope to pass it to some of you who may be forum leaders in the future. The same goes with guilds. Some of you have the potential to lead massive registries and we would really like to see the forum aid you in making that happen.
